Hello guys!!!
It has been.. yet another long year gone by and slow journal entries. I started off the new year straight from work, had a nice (mildly) expensive dinner with a few friends... played Rage against the machines on guitar hero before hopping out in the middle of the night crawling the streets before watching the midnight fireworks sitting on the footpath. That night i discovered a few things, New Years in central city meant closed streets, police patrol and crowds of people everywhere. Glass built bus stop shelters can support a human being crumping or crazily dancing on it... and in Auckland (nz), there is such things as ASIAN clubs. This year.. 2010, a start to the new decade, i decided that my year long rest is over, it is time to make more artwork! and what better, than to have a few shows and invites pile on from last year to start working on.
First group show I need to start working on (making art for) is called First Thursdays. Through contacts and information from our group Crossover, it allowed me to get to know Cleo (The main director/co-coordinator) of the event. First Thursdays features artist and exhibits one night only at the St Kevin's Arcade on K'RD, it occurs every month on the First Thursday of that month. Events usually consists of talented artists, live D.J's & performances. They have had a break during this first month of Jan. But they are amidst looking for more people to feature in February (Thursday the 4th). So those of you, who live close to me, Cleo, Crossover and myself invite you to check it out, and send in your submission to show.
Requirement: 3-5 images of your work and a 100 word information/blurb of your medium.
